Why Settle decided to migrate all company files onto SharePoint Online today. We’ve been using Exchange Online for nearly a year now as part of the Microsoft Business Productivity Online Suite, but until now have used SharePoint only for project work.
Getting access to files from any location is the main reason for change. We all work from home and outside the office using a combination of offline files or through Terminal Server. SharePoint Online gives us secure access to our data from anywhere via a browser or smart phone.
With email, calendar and data files all stored in the cloud, we will have only databases at our on-premises servers.
